In early 2020, I was thrilled to accept an opportunity to join LogicGate as a summer marketing intern in Chicago. I was excited to move to Chicago and work in LogicGate’s downtown office. Just a couple months later, it became apparent that the COVID-19 pandemic would disrupt businesses and close offices around the country. Because of this moving to Chicago didn’t work out, but I am grateful that LogicGate quickly shifted the program to a virtual internship and provided me with a great experience.
In light of the pandemic, the LogicGate team has a virtual stand up meeting each morning to stay in touch. “Zooming” into my first morning standup, I was warmly welcomed. The team is comprised of creative and talented marketers who work closely together. I was thankful they brought me into the fold and assigned me challenging and meaningful projects.
In just two months, I:
Created a new filtering method and design for the Logicgate.com Resource Center to make it even easier for website visitors to navigate content
Researched Google snippets to find specific methods to gain higher placement in Organic Search results
Updated the way LogicGate stores and tags content to make it easy to find and use for internal sales and marketing teams.
As I reflect on my experience, I am amazed at how much I learned about GRC, business tools like Google Suite and WordPress, Search Engine Optimization, and so much more. I really enjoyed working on projects to drive more website traffic and engagement, and, most importantly, I learned the power of effective communication and teamwork. I felt so lucky listening in on internal marketing team meetings. Each team member made me feel welcomed and encouraged me to contribute ideas. It was inspiring to be a part of a team that executed its first virtual user summit (Agility 2020 ) and launched a campaign and brand refresh to introduce the Risk CloudTM to the world.
I am confident that LogicGate has a bright future. Every member of the LogicGate team works hard to provide customers with the best GRC software and service solutions. I am extremely grateful to have been a part of this talented team and strong company culture.
