Our Response to COVID-19

Below is the message our CEO, Matt Kunkel, sent out to LogicGate employees. Feel free to use it as a template for your own internal communications.

Team,

I want to provide an update on how LogicGate is responding to the emerging COVID-19 novel coronavirus. We are actively monitoring the status of the disease and assessing daily how LogicGate can best serve our customers and the well-being of our staff. My first priority is to be mindful of everyone’s safety, and at the same time, we must continue to deliver a high-quality product to our customers.

Similar to the flu, indications are that COVID-19 is serious for people who (1) have existing health issues; and/or (2) are older.

It seems health-wise our team will be just fine but taking precautions makes complete sense. We have and will take steps to contribute to a safe work environment including having the office deep cleaned and sanitized this weekend. As you enter each office space as well as in high traffic zones, you’ll find hand sanitizer.

While we are not mandating people work from home at this point, we believe that anyone who feels more comfortable doing so should work from home for the time being. Please speak with your manager about this first.

The expectation is of course that you will fulfill your commitments no differently than you would in the office; do your planned and expected work, attend all scheduled meetings and touchpoints, and support the rest of the team as needed. Extra effort should be made to stay in touch with each other and not be isolated.

Everyone will make an effort to include Zoom invites on everything. Don’t hesitate to video call each other with Zoom (there is a directory in the desktop app) and stay plugged in on Slack.

At this time, we do not feel like we have enough information to make any mandates regarding company travel although some companies have. Presently, we look to you to consider what makes sense and trust in your judgment.

As the situation evolves and we have more updates we will let you know.

Please let your manager or I know if you have any questions.

Lastly, if you feel sick please stay home.

Matt
