At LogicGate, our annual company kick-off isn’t just an event, it’s a moment to reflect, connect, and set the course for an impactful year ahead. Following last year’s “Ride the Wave” theme, this year we embraced Momentum—the force that propels us forward, individually and collectively, toward our goals. From engaging discussions to community-driven initiatives, the day was filled with energy, collaboration, and inspiration.

The day’s objectives were simple but powerful. First, to educate and align all LogicGate team members on the goals, priorities, and focus areas for 2025 and beyond. Transparency was the cornerstone of these discussions, with leaders offering a candid breakdown of LogicGate’s achievements, lessons learned, and areas for growth. Employees were encouraged to ask tough questions and engage in meaningful dialogue about the company’s direction.

Second, the day was meant to be motivational and inspire everyone that LogicGate is the market-leading GRC platform- period. “We have a huge opportunity in front of us and a ton of momentum behind us,” says Matt Kunkel, Co-Founder and CEO of LogicGate. Kunkel continues, “We know what we need to focus on to win, and we have the best people in place to get us there.”

Third, the day was designed to foster deeper connections with our customers, partners, and each other. With a globally distributed workforce, collaboration and synergy can be difficult but are necessary to drive success. LogicGate team members were encouraged to build new or strengthen existing relationships through group activities and games.

Last but certainly not least, CKO is a celebration. It is a chance to recognize where we’ve been, where we’re going, and all the fantastic ways team members have contributed to this.

Building the Momentum for 2025

Momentum means moving fast but also moving with purpose. At LogicGate, our core values drive everything we do, from the way we collaborate to how we build for the future. This year’s kick-off focused on three key areas that will define our path forward.

People & Culture: Own It & Be As One – “It is an amazing opportunity to get our teams together in person for our annual Company Kickoff, and this year did not disappoint! Creating meaningful connections with each other is critical to our ability to deliver the best employee experience and ultimately, the best experience for our customers,” said Caroline Werner, Chief People Officer. The People Team session focused on our collective accomplishments over the last year, reinforced our commitment to culture & inclusion, and highlighted future growth opportunities for our teams. Our career journeys drive talent mobility and development opportunities where all employees are empowered to take ownership of their career paths. The session talked about the skills & competencies needed for the future of work to drive innovation for our customers.

Field Operations: Embrace Curiosity – Andy Ruse, President of Field Operations, explored how curiosity fuels innovation and problem-solving in our go-to-market teams. From marketing and sales to customer success and solution engineering, the teams showcased the depth and breadth of 2024 successes while previewing 2025 goals and initiatives. “It was particularly meaningful to see the unveiling of the newly updated RCSA application and learn how it will streamline assessments for our Enterprise and Banking/Financial Services customers,” states Ruse. He continues, “There was an underlying theme of collaboration across initiatives. Spark AI’s record linking capabilities, the use of '@’ tags for communication, and the enhanced builder experience were all designed to bring GRC teams together.”

Product & Technology: Raise the Bar – Then Jon Siegler and the Product Management team took the stage for a showstopping hour of excitement. Siegler explains, “From day one, we intentionally built Risk Cloud on a graph database, enabling our customers to connect workflows across GRC initiatives. Now, leveraging that unique data model, we’re harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to draw insights like never before.” Each product squad demonstrated its latest innovations and advancements that will shape LogicGate’s technology roadmap in 2025 and beyond.

Throughout the day, employees joined LogicGate's Employee Resource Groups to participate in activities, including setting goals and intentions in celebration of the Lunar New Year, building tie blankets for Center on Halsted’s Youth Programming department, and supporting the Glamour Girls Foundation by writing letters of kindness for seniors.

Additionally, in support of LogicGate's continued commitment to giving back to the community, attendees enjoyed a variety of swag items, including handmade candles from Bright Endeavors, a Chicago-based organization that engages young moms in paid job training programs where they learn comprehensive skills, gain confidence, and forge career paths. We also had cookies from Tee Tee's Sweets, a local Black-owned small business in the Chicagoland area.

A highlight of the day was the LogicGate Game Show Extravaganza, hosted by Feet First Events, where teams put their knowledge and teamwork to the test in a series of engaging challenges. The event wrapped up with Company Awards & Recognition, celebrating outstanding contributions by team members aligned with our Company values. The night concluded with an Evening Reception at AceBounce, giving everyone a chance to connect and unwind.

The 2025 Company Kick-Off was a testament to our collective drive and dedication. As we move through the year, we’re committed to sustaining this momentum, driving innovation, and making a meaningful impact on our customers, team members, and the community.

Here’s to a year of growth, collaboration, and success. Together, we move forward!
